I was expecting Chelsea to go and win that game quite comfortably.

to be honest and if Chelsea played the way they can play at the best and they're all working for each other I'm sure they would have done that but they weren't and when you drop off in this Premier League you're going to get punished and Chelsea just they lacked energy they lacked aggression it looked like no one was speaking to each other and that's when you know as a manager you've got problems when them cracks start coming you've got problems and he needs to identify them and sort them out just looking over your shoulder Jamie at the results in 2018

I think it just freshens it up.

Some players might be thinking, as Jamie said, they're getting a bit stale or not.

They think the manager might go.

So a new manager coming in, it gives them players something.

They have to fight for the place again.

I'm sure Conte has his players who he knows he's going to play most games.

So a new manager coming in, it might give other players a chance.

All of a sudden there's competition for places.

And then you get that lift, that initial lift, but then it's after the first four or five games, when it settles down again, if you can carry that on.

So there's always a risk of bringing someone in mid-season.

They've got two games before the Barcelona game which they have to go and win, and that's to get the confidence back, to get the players believing in themselves again.
