If you're on your own, they say you should be able to sing a song.
While you're running, like out loud, that means you're running easy.
If you can't sing a song, you're trying to catch a breath, you're running too hard and you're easy to run, you know?
If I had any advice for anyone getting into running, don't download Strava.
Just leave it for a few weeks and...
You know, because it's coming up, like if you do 10k, it's coming up, you have a new 10k PB.
And then you're just in your head, I have to beat that 10k, I have to beat it.
And a lot of people are just getting bogged down on paces and stuff like that, rather than miles and building blocks and stuff.
It's just the more injury free, if you can keep building, building, building, without getting a setback, within six months to a year, you'll see a major difference in yourself.
Yeah, you're probably right.
But I think a lot of people as well were trying for just a mind and stuff, you know, and a lot of people go into running just to, like you go up to Phoenix Park on a Saturday or a Sunday and you just see crowds and crowds of runners.
Now, I'm pretty sure 50% of them won't be looking for times to be probably just out running and stuff like that.
But social media is having an impact on people.
Yeah, but see, I look at that in a way as well, that I've dedicated 15 years to football.
And I played midfield or on the wing, so I was always kind of up and down, you know what I mean?
Yeah, I was always busy on the pitch as well, you know, and then training.
Like, I used to jog to training, train, and then jog home from training.
You know, so, like, that all played a part.
