So there's there's a women's wing.

Yeah.

So you've got people like Je Jay in in there for stealing money, but then you've also got people that have done murders and are on death row.

I mean that's the word that she used to describe her experience.

That's terrifying.

How was it created and when?

So it was created in twenty eighteen.

Um there's an Italian artist called Dion Roach Um and she was volunteering in the prison with a nonprofit organization.

And so during a dance class, some of the prisoners took over the microphones, started freestyling, and she was like, Oh, okay, this is these guys have got talent.

And so these guys kept rehearsing and then she went to the prison authorities and was like

how would you feel about setting up a studio and actually making something of these guys' talent?

And the prison authority was like, Yeah, sure.

So they set up a studio and she enlisted one of the prisoners to run it.

His name's Steve Happy.

Um and he has experience in producing and s and sound engineering.

So that's that's how it got started.

Yeah, absolutely.

And I'm a big hip hop fan and to me the the quality like

the the music videos they are as good as uh UK rap video filmed on the streets of London or a hip hop video from LA like just really high quality videos and everyone gets involved.
