I was watching a video and they were talking about the difference between nurturing and smothering and how that affects children as they grow up.
And the psychiatrist who had written a book on this particular show said, it doesn't matter.
There is no difference.
What makes a child...
like independent, able to work in the world is the kind of love that is shown.
It doesn't matter if they're smothering or if they're nurturing, it's almost the same thing.
What matters is, do they have a safe place to the fall?
Do they put guardrails and do they know they can always turn to somebody when they need help?
He's like, that's what makes an independent person.
Can they go out on their own, but do they know they have a soft place to fall?
And so we all know that.

I think that's a pretty common thing.
you know it's a pretty common thing and then you know to be at like comic-con and have you know it's not like a lot this happened a lot but it happened enough for me to get a little freaked out by it you know people coming up i wish i had a mom like you i know it's kind of bad
When you go to these comic cons, is it to like just some people are like totally freaky about it?
