conversations, the context of the person who's having this conversation, the verbatim and the the quotes from these people talking about these conversations, so that first we build our own intuition as UXRs around what our users really trying to do with our AIs.
what's important to them, what do we need to deliver and how that connects to their goals and communicate that to the to our stakeholders.
So of course that's what UXRs do, but it's interesting pairing that capability with the with the quantitative and the numbers and the data that comes with the UX evals.
So being able to have both in a conversation
conversation with our PM partners and our prompt engineers have been able to, I think, push the work forward and to Chris's point, actually impact the product.
in a very direct way.
There are definitely overlaps, but I would say more than half of the loss patterns that we've detected were not things that we were necessarily measuring in our evals.
I was gonna say recruit a bunch of new users and just have them go through the product and then see who actually sticks with those power features and who drops off the churn and understand what were what was the aha moment for those people who actually stuck around versus what turned people away.
Yeah, I was gonna say I I think
In the future I can totally see these, you know, AI
research tools, automation tools can make anyone think that they can do research well.
Um but I think it would be really
important to have a researcher par to be at least part of that process, to either at the beginning consult with them and talk to talk through them, talk to them about the questions you're thinking about and really get the use researcher's perspective on
how they could run the research.
Um, and then also how you can do things like build trust with the users that you're talking to, right?
Especially if there are a specific group of people that you want to build longer term like research relationships with, like how do you build trust?
How do you um
help people really understand the value of participating in research with us, how to frame the questions and how to bring in, you know, different concepts at different stages in the way that respondents can actually give you helpful, rich feedback.
You know, all of these things are are very nuanced and having a researcher in the room
at least in the beginning of the stage is very important so that the rest of the research can go very smoothly and the results you get are valuable.
