Giving attention to something is

I guess they're calling it attentional amplification.

I mean the other aspect here is it it has material to work with is the way I would put it.

We're not just trying to bootstrap from nothing.

to what we would call attentional consciousness.

We have this what Freud would call preconscious state that we're working with.

And then it's this meta relationship to the

various preconscious or whatever preconscious state becomes the object of attention that is taken as the object of attention that we um in the loose sense that becomes consciousness.

Which is really, you know, this is the way I think of it as well.

I don't know how it addresses the hard problem of consciousness.
