So they gather these goats, and the men and him head back to the village.

Two of the goats are for the people of the village, the other one is for Corbett and his men, and as they're cooking them in the courtyard, Corbett can overhear the townspeople just talking about how he had shot the goats from what they said was a mile away, and how it was pretty much a miracle from the gods that he was able to shoot these goats.

He now has a lot of trust from the

That very same day he has a lot of eager volunteers to take him to the site of the most recent killing.

And when he gets there he first goes to the tree where he sees something that's really gruesome.

On the branch that the woman had been holding on to, there were still strands of skin and small pieces of flesh in the bark because she had been clinging on so hard that her hands had ripped open on this branch.

Corbett then immediately notices the ravine and how it's really the only way the tiger could have approached the tree unseen.

So he walks up the ravine where he finds some tiger tracks.

And somehow these tracks let him know that he is indeed dealing with a female tiger, a tigress, who is slightly past her prime.

So then he walks up the ravine where he finds the site where a big dried pool of blood shows that the woman had been killed.

Killed, and then a trail of blood across the ravine and onto the opposite banks leads them to the site where the tiger actually ate the woman.

There's essentially nothing left aside for some clothes and small pieces of bone, but he collects the splinters of bone and the clothes for the cremation and they head back to the village.

Alright, when he arrives at the village he has some tea, and then his new companions from the village take him to the site of another tragedy that had happened nearby.

This site was a hut that sat on a large grassy hill and

And inside this hut was a woman that hadn't uttered a single word in twelve months.
