And again, yes, you know, I serve as the as the only black governor in this country and someone who is who is deeply committed to the people of my state and make sure that they're good.
But the president decided that, you know, during the same by the way, you know, during the same time that he also decided to release a tweet
where he calls, you know, essentially calls the former president of the United States.
He decides to use that moment to then disinvite the nation's black governor to the
Yeah, I mean, you know, it's interesting because, you know, I think when people have asked me that, I kind of liken it to a person says, you know, do you think do you think dogs like to bark?
It's like my answer is you kind of have to ask the dog, but I can tell you what I know.
Right.
And what I know is if you look at what he has done.
If you look at the fact that he has had the greatest assault on employment that Black women have seen in our nation's history over these past 12 months, if you look at the fact that he has gone after our nation's HBCUs and gone after their scholarships and funding mechanisms and funding formulas, if you look at the fact that he is calling Black History Month a hoax and is trying to ban our books and ban our history,

I can only go by his actions.

lead to when you're looking at the fact that he's helping to defund scholarships to hbcus and going after black female employment and trying to ban our books and ban our history uh it's just it's it's difficult for for someone to to think anything different um and yet i think that's a question that he's got to answer and frankly one day it's a question that he's got a that he's got to answer to
I wasn't shocked.
I'm not surprised.
by what I see from the president at this point.
Because it doesn't just track in terms of this long history of these racist tropes and old ideas.
It's the same thing when he was talking about coming to Baltimore.
