We have to find other ways to know that we are good enough, to know that we do belong.
And that's great.

It wouldn't seem so hard if we weren't so reliant on scores up to that point.

So can we create a new set of ideologies around scores?
Can we
find ways to responsibly use them and to recognize and be honest about their limitations and then find additional ladders that allow us to work around those limitations as opposed to trying to cram everybody up the same one with with their self-worth and um sense of self hanging in the balance.
I'm in the early part of my second year of family medicine residency training, and I'm sitting in the labor and delivery workroom, watching the clock go by to get to the end of my long 24-hour shift.
It's always a little eerie or unsettling for it to be too quiet on a labor and delivery unit.
