Bringing a story out of Turkey next, where the parliament has approved a law aimed at ending more than four decades of conflict with the Kurdish militant group the PKK.
The legislation will allow some former fighters to return to civilian life and suspend prosecutions or prison sentences for others.
The group announced last year that it planned to lay down its arms and disband.
But the PKK's jailed leader, Abdullah Erdogan, does not appear to be among those who could be freed.
