After one of the largest manhunts the German capital has seen in years, the suspect in the Berlin Pride attack has been shot dead by police.
Abdul Baloo was tracked down to the western suburb of Spandau on Sunday.
Police say he was carrying a knife when he was confronted by officers.
During the operation to apprehend him, he advanced on our officers while armed, was stopped by gunfire from our special operations unit and subsequently died.

With every passing day wildfires continue to burn across parts of Europe, the facts become more startling.
77,000 hectares of land has now been scorched in Spain and 100,000 people have either been evacuated or ordered to stay indoors.
And the situation's also very bad in southwest France.
Almost a quarter of a million people ordered to leave areas near Bordeaux, where the fires have destroyed at least 40,000 hectares.
To put that in some kind of context, regional authorities say it's one of the biggest devastations of land since World War II.
