But what Tina Fey said about the four seasons was that she'd worked on so many high joke density shows.
And she was like, we've worked on shows that become so absurd, so funny, that eventually it's a jokey bit, which happens with Parks and Rec and 30 Rock and all those, and Mindy Project.
Eventually in The Mindy Project, there's an episode where she has a Groundhog Day.
Those shows are so funny, but they eventually do develop a sense of silliness about them that's not rooted in reality.
And she was like, with the four seasons, we wanted to see how funny we could be in reality, like in a show that doesn't go into an absurd place.
So that was why they wanted to work on this.
And I just think The Four Seasons was such a comforting, funny show when it came out last year.
I had such a great time.
And it was watched by like 40 million people in the first two weeks.

And it turns out they did.
They did.
And it's like, it is a deeply funny show.
Like there are a lot of really fantastic one-liners watching season two before I did the interview.
I just kept writing jokes down.
I was like this is so funny but it is very different to the other stuff she's done where it's just like it is comforting because you're watching people in like their worst moments in their relationships or in their like worst moment in their friendship and you're just seeing all this tragedy unfold and she just like picks the comedy out of that.
which I think is really fun.
And we love them and we thank you for them.
