yeah i mean i would say the first thing hopefully that was afforded to savannah was obviously some close protection for herself and her family uh although we didn't see it for the sister and for the brother-in-law which i found kind of curious now the number of times in 30 odd years of doing this i've have i seen other members of the family getting kidnapped unless they're all in a very high risk hostile environment
it's very rare that that actually happens so the installation of close protection around the family is really to provide them with some sort of reassurance so that they can sleep at night so they're not hearing strange noises in the house and and waking up and thinking oh my god i'm going to be next but it's very important that it only goes in for a limited amount of time because it can become a bit of a safety blanket and then when you withdraw that blanket it's very difficult
So I would hope, and I've had this with other cases, and I agree with James and yourself, 100%, she hasn't got that closure.
And this is what Savannah needs.
She needs closure to know what happened to her mum and where is her mum.
So...
I hope that she's getting a great deal of assessments and therapy right now and being able to talk to someone who's experienced in managing these kinds of situations and managing the victims of these kinds of situations, because that's the only way that really she'll be able to get through it, however brave a face she's putting on things.

I think when we take into consideration her heart condition and the fact that the medication wasn't taken from her bedside table, and I don't think these guys were necessarily organized enough to have done their research and got the suitable prescriptive medicines.
I don't, I sadly don't think she is alive.
I think the other issue as well is, as James rightly says, it's a question of getting the body back now.
And there are still lots of avenues that can be explored if managed by the right people.
And I think there are enough assets within the private sector as well as law enforcement down in Mexico that can potentially assist with the search.
And again, it's going to be a human intelligence operation trying to determine who might have been involved in it and then closing in on it.
But it's also getting a message out to the kidnappers to say, look, yes, Nancy may have passed away.
However, regardless whether she's still alive or she's not, we want to give her suitable burial.
