The league and championship season to be merged into a 10-team season, home and away games.
Munster and Leinster teams would run alongside the overall league table.
The top overall team gets home advantage in their provincial final.
Provincial winners go straight to an All-Ireland semi-final, losers into the quarter-finals.
Highest-placed remaining teams would then fill up the table for the other quarter-final spots.
Teams finishing 7th to 10th would enter relegation semi-finals slash play-offs.
I think there's a possibility in that, Tommy, but the caveat I would always have on this idea and whether it's breaking off into groups after the league, whether it's getting rid of the league and creating groups and then creates a championship afterwards, whatever that might be, as long as particularly the Munster championship is as good as it is right now, nobody will enter that discussion to look at that format.
I think that format becomes a discussion if we've another few years of Munster that maybe one side of games are not exciting or not sold out.
And I think actually crucially, it'll only be the point when these games aren't selling out, when you're not getting a combined 70,000 people at the last two games of the Munster Championship.
When that's happening, that golden goose is never going to be let go by...
Munster Council or indeed by the GAA like we would be silly to be going here we should definitely be funding a Christie ring team going across the play against New York next year and realising at the same time that these bumper crowds that happen in the Munster Championship aren't a key part of the you know revenue driver for both Munster Council and for the GAA more generally so until that happens I think we're in a fairly moot chat about changing around championship structures but thank you for sending in and thank you everyone who sent me nice comments because we kind of did brush over last week I was like good news on a health check last week and thank you to everyone particularly on the YouTube
