Iran's foreign minister arrived in the Omani capital of Muscat on Saturday, with the possibility of further talks involving US officials not yet publicly confirmed by either side.
The Iranian state-backed Fars news agency said Iran will not enter into talks with American negotiators until the United States reverses its positions, as Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi criticised the Trump administration for failing to uphold its side of a previous agreement.
Earlier this week, Iranian forces fired on several commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, precipitating retaliatory US airstrikes across Iran.
