And I think the best stories can often leave you wondering or wanting, you know, I want more of that.

I want to sort of explore more of that because it's, if it's just sort of something that's very small and self-contained, that can be nice.

But I like the idea of it being,

Yeah, I guess it's the idea of not really fully committing to what they are.

Because I think whenever I'm writing a story like this one, for instance, it started off basically as a mood piece, kind of an atmospheric kind of exploration of something.

And then as I began to fill out the details, I was like, well,

Maybe I, to some degree, don't know what it is myself in some way, but I'm okay with that because I like the mystery that it ends on.

And if I wanted to explore it more, I could expand upon what that creature is and sort of give it its own kind of mythology and so on.

But for me, I kind of just like the idea that maybe even I don't fully understand what it is, but I'm willing to kind of just sketch it out and leave it for further exploration if I wanted to attend, for instance.

You know, it's just that whole idea is there.

Again, it's just kind of this, he just appeared in the story.

I remember, this is not, this is a lofty comparison.

I'm not, I'm certainly not comparing myself to this guy, but I remember Tolkien and you might, you might know this.

I'm sure you probably do.

He was describing when Strider appeared in Lord of the Rings and,

He just said that when he was writing the story, he just appeared.

He just kind of appeared out of nowhere.

And that is similar to me when... That often happens to me when I'm writing this stuff.

These things just sort of emerge of their own free will.

And I just sort of weave them in and just sort of let my imagination do as it's going to do with them.
