And when I write the film screenplays, it's much the same.
It's just kind of, okay, here's the idea.
I've got this visual of something or there's a kernel of an idea here and it just begins to sort of flow.
And before I know it, there's an outline to it and there's all these other things going on.
So it's like this other life that I suppose I,
I'm living in my own head when I'm doing it, is what it feels like to me when it's happening.
And obviously, I expect for other authors, it might well be much the same.
Yeah, it's the whole idea sometimes of anything that's dreamlike or slightly surreal.
I think there can be a real power to that stuff because obviously it's certainly my own explorations of my dream landscapes and writing them and stuff just for my own.
Because some people talk about they keep a diary each day.
My dream journal has become the equivalent of that because I get so much insight out of them.
And certainly it does seem to...
tap into something quite profound a lot of the time that you know sometimes i sort of i'll write down my dream and think what on earth was that about because it's so totally different from what i was thinking about just before i went to sleep but there's obviously a part of me that is still communicating that and trying to it's almost like there's two separate minds in action at the same time but it's all me as well which is such an interesting kind of surreal thing to experience because i certainly had some fairly intense ones and sometimes it's been like what on earth's going on here because there's
Sometimes there's things that come in that seem like they have nothing to do with me.
But then when I reflect back on them in a more, sometimes in more felt senses, I've kind of learned about in Gestalt, for instance, which my, I've done some counseling training before.
My counseling tutor, wonderful man called Alan Leach, hope you won't mind me mentioning him here.
But he basically, his whole thing is about Gestalt and he works with people in their dreams and stuff and asking them to bring the dream into the present moment.
And it was such an interesting and surreal thing for me to witness that.
And I had a Peter, the session with me as well.
