But to translate this into guidelines is something we've um done through ASCO and published, like here's what you should do if you're an oncologist in the community.
These are the high yield screening tests to do.
And that should be done by somebody else and it can largely be self reported.
Um within that, um my other wish would be you need a little bit
of performance assessment because PROs alone, and these are basically PROs.
Patient reported outcome.
So you ask the patient directly and they tell you this is what it is.
I'm feeling this way.
I'm not uh you know, my mood isn't so good.
I'm not functioning well at home.
But it highlights why that alone might be a concern.
If they have cognitive impairments, they may not be able to report as accurately and you would need other information, say from the caregiver.
And another thing we're um advocating is some performance assessment in clinic.
some um physical functioning in clinic like a gate speed test.
Or um so where somebody walks and we time them and see how fast they can walk.
Or a standing test where you can see can they stand up and sit down in a good way and time them and get information because I know I've had this experience and you guys can tell me if you do, where you ask the patient, Hey, how you doing at home?
You able to do what you need to do?
And I'll say he says
