And actually I think she says in her story

getting breaking the child out would almost be hopeless because they have been in prison so long, they're likely to be

incapable of adapting to the real world.

But her story has spawned lots of follow-up literature.

And so there are sim there are other short stories uh written in response, such as The Ones Who Stay and Fight.

Ooh, I can't remember what the uh oh, there's one called Why Don't We Just Kill the Kid in the Hole?

And a few more anyway.

And so this this novella was written in a similar vein.

Uh well I didn't to begin with.

I mean there's a lot of work there's a lot of writing that was cut out and I actually redid the opening a few days before print.

Uh but don't worry, there is a six hundred page prequel coming.

Uh but I I felt like I mean basically what you're saying, you didn't need to know how miserable this fictional city called Rangor, uh is.

You and and well, for the story anyway, it was enough to know that it was a bad place and people had fled it.

Which is the which is the beginning of the story.

Hm.
