I think that's a seventies one. So that's Soviet. If I'm not mistaken. I will say though, considering it's eight Oh five, I wanted to, I want to talk about Jordan. So yeah, it was meaning to get to that earlier. So you entitled your video killed by a Sasquatch. I went a different route, mainly because I didn't want to steal your title.

And I even said in the video, I was like, that caught me off guard, because you're usually, I think, a little bit more skeptical than I am.

So, you know, I figured it was probably something along those lines. But then, you know, I watched through it, and... From what I understand, you didn't come to a specific conclusion about what you think happened either.

So we did use it as an opportunity to talk about the Wendigo. As we so often do. I wanted an opportunity to talk about the Wendigo. I had a new book. I had a new book about the Wendigo. But, I mean, having studied the Wendigo probably more than most people at this point, I kind of came to the conclusion that if you look at the less mythical version of what that is...

It does account for what happened, in that a Wendigo, in more historic than legendary terms, was perceived to be somebody who is... Well, it was a cannibal, but cannibalism was perceived to be something that was so taboo that... you had to be either possessed by a demon or an evil spirit.

I mean, obviously, using terms like that doesn't even really work for Christianity, as we've learned recently. But you have to be possessed by an evil spirit, or you have to be utterly insane, like, to the point of being dangerous. And that's why the solution, there was no curing a Wendigo. You just kill them. There's no alternative.

Which, interestingly enough, if you read the Old Testament of the Bible, it says the same thing about possession. If somebody is possessed, you have to kill them. Like, exorcism is a Christian thing. That's not a Jewish thing. So... when you get to the historic encounters with quote unquote Wendigos, what they are describing is people who are cannibals.

And I mean the, the pop culture term for it would be like, they have the hunger, like they've consumed human flesh. Now they constantly want more. Uh, so there is a kind of real life version of this. That is not some legendary, you know, cannibal giant, but is instead, uh, somebody who is just obsessed with eating humans, uh, due to some sort of, I guess, problem in their brain.

Because when I looked at it, and the reason I got there is because I did my normal thing, which is I look at it and I'm like, okay, what are all of the mundane possibilities... None of those make sense. What's a little less mundane? And then kind of go from there. So, I mean, for me, and let me know what you think of this, the big things were, you know, A, there's no tears in anything.
