But fundamentally logical.
What I can't make sense of
Is how I felt when I stood outside thirty seven Bridges Place.
I had that
Sickening feeling of revulsion.
Of reliving trauma.
Pulse pounding, hands trembling, conscious mind barely afloat on a tide of panic.
But I had never been there before.
I had no reason to feel that way.
The place was a stranger to me, and yet
Something about it loomed so very large in my perception of reality.
That it almost brought me to my knees.
And that was before we entered.
Before we knew.
