It's just too much of a coincidence that he's effing somebody and telling them, come and get it, and an hour later he's dead and there's no connection.

What a long, excruciating, and embarrassing season for these guys.
So in 2018, I drove down to the homicide bureau in Doral, Florida, and I met with the original lead detective on the case, Miguel Dominguez.
I'd say he was stoic, friendly, but he felt like he kept his guard up.
I'm not sure he understood what we were doing.
He definitely didn't want to go into any details of the case.
To the crime scene, was there any physical evidence left there?
I can only guess that because they said it was an open investigation, they were still very guarded about any information getting out, which might eventually affect the prosecution.
The one thing I really wanted was to get Detective Dominguez out to visit the crime scene, kind of walk it through with me, get his theory on how he thinks the shooting took place.
It was literally a few days later.
