This is winter bell fire, paranormal underground radio in the dark correspondent.
And I'm here live in Los Angeles, California.
Tonight's story comes from Elkhart City, Maryland, where there is an urban legend that has quietly existed for decades.
However, recent flooding in the area has brought this legend back into the light, or so to speak.
This flood has mirrored the events that first led to the construction of the Ilchester Tunnel back in 1903, and this tunnel is said to be the home of an entity known as the Blink Man.
The origin of this legend is vague, but most agree it dates back to the time of the Great Depression, when a blind homeless man was killed along the train tracks.
Now he lingers, haunting the visions of those that seek him.
He goes by other names, such as the Tunnel Man or Peeping Tom, but the story remains the same.
According to legend, if you stand at one end of the tunnel at 11 p.m.
and stare directly ahead for an hour, the Blink Man will appear.
However, once he is seen, he will not go away.
This type of entity has been called a flickergeist.
It lives in the shadows, always in your line of sight, never leaving you alone.
