I didn't want to write this book.
I felt like I needed to.
And I wrote this book.
It took me two years doing a deep dive in AI.
At Breitbart as a social media director, I've seen very up close
the games that big tech will play against right of center people and the way that demonetization wars and so forth.
And so I really wanted to get everybody on board so that we could seize the upside, but also avert the landmines that are coming.
And I think there's going to be a lot of both.
And I'm very hopeful about it.
So this was not, I didn't want to do a Doomer book.
At the same time, I didn't want to be naive.
And so I wanted to create what I called Code Red.
It's a double meaning.
Code Red, obviously an alert, an alarm.
But code, we need a set of principles for the red side, the people who see the world kind of a center right perspective of how do we navigate through everything from education policy to human relationships to
national security, economics, and like you said, jobs and education.
So it was a passion project.
And I was just very, very grateful.
Came out on the New York Times bestseller list first week.
