Within a year, you know, you've gone from uh fifty-three percent on Olympia level to eighty-four percent, which is quite you know, this is scary, right?
You know, every this oh scary in the sense, like impressively awesome.
That you know, they could do do so quickly.
So basically in twenty twenty two, an AI is a it's a it's approximately equal to the twelve year old Terrence Tower.
In in the sense that y it does you could do a silver medal.
But of course this is a very specialized you know, the the alpha alpha geo two was really just homing in on Euclidean geometry problems.
Which which to be fair are extremely difficult, right?
If you don't know how to add the right line or the right angle, you have no idea how to attack this problem.
But it's it's kind of learned how to do this.

Um so it's kinda nice.
So twenty you know, this is all within
you know, a couple of years.
And um there's this there's this very nice benchmark called Frontier Math that Epoch AI has put out.
I think there was a white paper, and this they they got Gowers and Tau, you know, the usual suspects, just to benchmark, okay, fine.
So we can do 84% on Math Olympiad, which is sort of high school level.
What about truly advanced research problems?
Uh
To my knowledge, as of the beginning of it of of of this this month, it was only doing two percent.
Right.
