And there's a this maybe slightly less uh known paper, but certainly equally important paper by the great late Latia and then uh Dykegraff and Witten, uh Dycraff and Hitchen, which is um the other way around.
Why is mathematics so uh so why is physics so effective in giving ideas in mathematics?
So this is a beautiful pair of of essays.
In this this is like very much a in in the world of uh a summary of the kind of physics
ideas from string theory is making such beautiful advances in geometry.
So this is a very beautiful pair of one giving in the other, um that needs to be, you know, sort of um praised more.
And um that's why well you were you were mentioning earlier how I got to know, you know, uh uh Roger so so well is through this editorials.
We try to collect, you know, with my uh colleague uh Molinka who is a
Uh, former director of the of the Chern Institute.
You know, see everybody's connected, right?
So it just so happens that, you know, I you know, I grew up in the West, but my after drip with uh with my parents after so many decades, my parents actually retired and went back to Tianjin, uh, where um Nankai University is, where Chern uh founded the what's now called the Chern Institute for Mathematical Sciences.
That's a that's an institute devoted to the dialogue between mathematics and physics.
