And what struck me about that, and this will bring us maybe back to Life of Pi, is here was another instance, and I've noticed this in life, of very few facts having atop it an inverted pyramid of stories.

Because usually we think of facts as being carriers of stories, story, storied history.

We think that a lot of facts will lead to a lot of stories.

Well, there's a case of Troy where there's hardly any facts.

Yes, there was a Troy.

You can visit it, and there's nine layers, and Schliemann got the wrong layer for when the Trojan War was.

We don't know.

But it's very few facts, a massive pyramid of stories.

And what struck me when I read that is it echoed

the story of Jesus, which is the same thing.

Jesus is actually very, very little known of Jesus.

You know, if I asked you what you know of Jesus, you'd say, well, he was born December 25th.

Not true.

We don't know when he was born.

That was decided 400 years later in Rome as a symbolic date for his birth.

They got it wrong.

They thought it was the winter equinox.

They got it off by four days.

They said, he must be born one day.

Let's do December 25th because that'll be the day when more sunshine comes to us.
