On paper, you have two good centers right now.
You have Petey, who should be...
60-point guy at his worst.
80 would be phenomenal coming back from that if he can play a more defensive role.
And then you're going to get some young guys in here that maybe needs to play with a skill center.
Then we can come back to, is he the proper guy to be...
showing these guys with the work ethic, with the preparation that are being questioned all the time?
Probably not.
But it's hard to deny his skill set.
And that skill set will come in handy when, like, if you're picking right at the top, it's not a center you're bringing in here.
If it's a McKinnon or a Stenland, they're wingers.
They need to play with somebody who's skilled, somebody who can get them the puck.
Maybe that's where he finds his groove again, that, hey, there's this young guy coming in and, like...
maybe he can help my career as well back on track so to speak and then a couple years down the line when there's not five years and 50 million left on his deal now he's a little bit more palatable for other teams to take on in a not necessarily rental but somebody okay there's only two or three years left he's a pretty good player now we can maybe get somebody back something back the other way what's impressed you so far in these nhl playoffs here as we're into day six
playoffs it's the best time this this there's four games that are coming up and you flip back there is intermission you just change the channel and then it's go go go time it's fast it's physical uh i like it when it's borderline violent and skilled at the same time it's good to see the intensity um that give a shit meter that goes through the roof in in playoffs it gives you the the what do you say the
tickles in your stomach again for knowing that feeling when you go out and you try to run somebody through the end boards, if only to hear the crowd.
Well, they've been on this path for a while now.
Obviously, they've drafted well.
They've brought in some guys, but it's homegrown who are doing it.
It's Caulfield, it's Lovkovsky, it's Hudson.
