They had to convince AD to waive his trade kicker, is the short of it.

And in order to do that, clutched and said, you know what, we're going to negotiate with you.

If we're going to waive the trade kicker, we want to guarantee that you sign Contavious Caldwell Pope.

So that's not necessarily LeBron forcing him to do things.

That's more leveraging the power that they had.
