Actually, I was a court reporter for 30 years, so I've seen this county grow in leaps and bounds with the criminal justice system and the courthouse.
It was a wonderful thing to see the mental docket.
So one of the biggest concerns that I have
And I do know that you have
a jail system where they do get evaluated by a doctor and get medication.
Do you have a place, I know we have Gander Mountain for people that are drug addicted.
But do we have a place, well, Phyllis, just stay up here.
This isn't actually for you yet.
Do we have a sister program where we have a mental facility that if you find that they actually are, that they will be transferred to, or is that a judge order?
Okay.
And then afterwards, Phyllis, so when the patient is, well, not patient, but when the person who is mentally unstable is released or drug addicted is released, is there a follow-up program?
I know there's probation, but is there a follow-up program that ensures that they take their medicine that has been prescribed or...
And oftentimes they can't afford it.
So is there a system by which they get the medication so that when we're releasing people that they're not being released to the public needing ongoing care and us knowing it?
That's fine, thank you.
I just love this county.
I mean, our workers are so good, and they're trying to do so much for our citizens.
I just really appreciate it.
We follow a fidelity model.
Uh, stepping up does put out different, um, pieces of information, additional frameworks that localities can use.
