Matsunaga was very devout and even had a reputation for confronting strange phenomena and dark spirits. matched

One day a man, and we're gonna call him Kenji, came to Matsunaga for help. matched

Kenji said he was struggling with a serious problem, one only Matsunaga could fix. matched

Kenji believed he was possessed by an Inugami. matched

Taking Kenji at his word, Matsunaga brought the suffering man into the Shinto temple where other priests and people from the village were worshiping. matched

For the next hour, Matsunaga prayed nonstop to cast out the inyugami, but his ritual was interrupted. matched

Suddenly, Kenji got on his hands and feet and started barking. matched

He crawled around the floor on all fours, and before anyone could stop him, he ran out the door towards a busy street. matched

Some of those that were present chased Kenji. matched

Thankfully, they managed to catch him before he could cause any harm. matched

They brought him back to the temple and Matsunaga picked up the ritual right where he'd left off. matched

It's unclear how much longer Matsunaga spent chanting and praying, but eventually matched

Kenji closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, the Inugami was gone. matched
