The hotel, which had been built in the 1800s, sat on top of a cliff right over the ocean, so the views there were incredible. matched

Even though Rosa was behind a thick pane of glass, she felt it burning her cheeks as though she was getting a really bad sunburn. matched

It took a minute for her eyes to adjust to all of the light, but once she was able to see again, she noted that the ship was now sitting in the grass, and it seemed to be engulfed in multicolored flames. matched

Then she watched as two figures emerged from the blaze. matched

They looked human, except they had unnaturally long arms and legs. matched

basically like they'd been stretched out. matched

They were wearing white suits that either covered their heads, like masks, or they didn't have faces at all. matched

Rosa couldn't see their eyes, nose, or mouth, and the figures kept staggering around like they were off balance. matched

They were also bending toward the ground, as if they were trying to pick up something. matched
