Off of a video or editing out an entire paragraph from a story that you're like, I like this thing, but it doesn't actually lend itself to communicating the main point.
And that's hard, but the more that you do it, the better you'll get at just kind of letting down, honestly, your pride and sacrificing your preference for the ultimate product.
You know, it there's a way that you can frame a story that just grabs people and there's a way that you can be building momentum and all of a sudden you're like, oh wait, I forgot to tell you the thing, I gotta go back.
And you lost that momentum and you've not kind of perfected the flow.
I'm a musician and so when I edit video, I edit musically.
Like I look at the beat, I find the rhythm of it.
And there's something about it that subliminally we as humans connect with.
And it creates this emotion where you're like, man, like there's something about like

It's a little trickier when it comes to the written word because you can't rely on those visuals and the music timing.
It has to be this pacing.
So you write it and then you read it out loud.
So you let it flow so your ears can resonate with it.
So you look and go, this statement flows and that, you know, that period right there, like, ooh, stuck the landing.
Or you kind of go, I
Added a sentence in there and just kind of like, I don't know how I feel about that at the end.
You know, what was the point of that?
So does it make me feel confused?
Or is it really these words?
I'm leaning in and somebody goes, Oh, you had me.
