So it was great to be able to see a spectacle that the girls were able to get a lot of fans to be able to go to that game, which was a great spectacle.
Like you said, Ross, the skill set was a lot better than probably previously when you saw round one at the start of the competition previously.
I thought Satiti looked quite well, actually.
Look, I know that probably the forwards, I think if you do look at the forwards and, like, the loose forwards and the tied five, like, for the Blues, they had a lot of position in that game.
Like, I think they were able to consistently do that, especially in the first half.
And I know probably in the 68th minute they scored that try with Macaulay to open up post that second half.
But, yeah, I really liked the looks of Satiti.
So that was probably one player that I would say in the Blues forward pack, but one that caught my eye for sure.
It just presents more people in the line in terms of the defensive having numbers on your feet.
So, like you said, if it's zero rucks, you've got 15 players that are on your feet now.
the only thing in and around that is you can be able to go you know little picks through the middle or being able to get replay balls and get the ball up and then going straight through it again you have the opportunity to be able to do that so um but you know whenever having teams being a part of zero rocking that's just being able to fill the field a little bit more and being able to i guess have more players in a position to make tackles
What do you think?
Yeah, I'd be picking the Blues.
I think we'll see an improved performance from the Manoa, but I just think the way that their forward pack is operating after round one and the physicality and how many threats they do have in and around attack and defence.
I'd like some Akari to use the TT as an example.
I think it'd just be a little bit too much for the Manoa.
Yeah, I'll be going Matatu.
They just look well-drilled, right, Jipper?
Look, I think we touched on Maya Joseph and her instances, but, yeah, I think for round one, I think, you know, I think they'll get better, and I think we'll see a continued polished attack from them.
But, you know, Powa, even they showed in their second half the fact that they were able to hold out the Blues until the, you know, the last 12 minutes of the game.
