The internet is here, it exists.
No one is willing to turn off the switch.
We make Netflix documentaries, you know, Black Mirror, highlighting what life might be like if we did this thing, but it's not happening, and so,
What we need to do is understand what it's offering young guys and how to go about offering them that elsewhere.
you need to give them, as I said, that sense of value, purpose and belonging in many ways.
And so you look at third spaces, like Scouts, for instance, has just completely been dismantled over time.
There are very few physical spaces and places that young men can go to, to congregate.
Male-only spaces have been for a very long time considered very dangerous.
I hope that we're going to be able to move towards a reality where we can create these places that are actually safeguarding for community and benefit young men as well.
And it needs to be co-created with them.
What happens is that...
All of this terminology, manosphere or otherwise, is all so reductive and very ivory tower-esque.
What it says is, hey, young guys, we've decided who you are.
We've decided what matters to you.
And here is what is wrong.
Rather than going from the ground up and saying...
What's happening?
Let's co-design something.
Let's create together.
You know, something that is fundamental to my philosophy is don't talk at men, talk with them.
