And if you can have players like that.
Um, you partner them with uh whichever of those wingers maybe doesn't play in your top six.
If you can have a third line that can take on some of those tougher matchups, can hold their own in those matchups and maybe swing it back the other way.
It's only going to set your scorers up to play more in the offensive zone, right?
It's going to give them better matchups.
It's going to give them better zone starts.
It's going to allow them to play with the puck more in the offensive zone.
And that's what Peter Laviolette wants his teams to do.
He wants them to play offense.
He wants them to have the puck.
He wants them to prioritize scoring.
I think that a limitation that the team had last year was the matchup line was more byfield La Ferriere.
That was also your second scoring line.
And it kinda limited what the Kings were able to do offensively.
You had the Panarin Copetar campe line and it was almost like
If that didn't go, you were relying on Byfield's line to not only log the toughest matchups, but then also send it back the other way because the Kings really just didn't get much from their bottom six down the stretch offensively.
So if you can have your third line be the line that's lugging those harder matchups and have two scoring lines, I think that really better sets the Kings up.
And I don't really see how you do that.
all that efficiently if you don't try something like Kempe at Center.
