Is it really going to be smart enough and capable enough to replace humans?
And let's just start with that.
First of all, it is replacing a lot of humans in a lot of knowledge jobs.
What's happening in software development is just absolutely incredible.
But there's still some limitations to these AI agents and the kind of AI that people are using to really try to do jobs.
There's still some limitations that are preventing them from replacing tons and tons of employees.
But those limitations are really mundane.
They're not at the level of science or real advanced software development.
It's stuff like just wiring the AI to a memory.
The memories are really bad right now.
But there's like a thousand companies and thousands of open source developers
all working to build memory systems.
It's such simple stuff.
People who aren't even software developers are building some of these systems because it's really just creating ways for the AI to make notes to itself.
If you get into studying how the brain works, you realize that that's really how our brain works too.
We're not fully conscious and aware of everything all at the same time.
Our brain has intelligence built into all these circuits
It has memories and it goes and fetches those memories as it needs it.
The other really mundane piece that AI needs that's holding it back right now
is just access to your keyboard and your screen.
