Can local municipalities and utilities not manage, we'll call it, the terms and conditions of an agreement so that they might stick the user or the off-taker with a higher power bill?
That can't happen.
But that's not on the data center.
That's on the utility.
And that's part of the conversation that a lot of people don't like to have.
Yeah.
A lot of people saw that just like data centers have used a lot more water than they should that we talked about before, but we've designed away from that.
We've gotten through that.
That is a historically bad example and we don't build them like that, right?
Same thing with power, right?
We build them more efficiently now.
And so the grids that are required for them, we have better knowledge and expertise so that they're built in a way, not only that they bolster power to the individual, but also they actually make it cheaper.
Exactly.
Correct.
And a lot of these utilities, and I'm not going to sit here and say the utility is the bad guy every single time.
Please don't misconstrue my words.
But the utility, they've been getting away with a lot of things for a long time and they haven't been making these upgrades and they haven't been investing the way they should have.
And so when this large load requirement hits their desk, of course, the first thing they're going to do is point towards the bad guy and say, now your rates are going up because of this.
That's actually not factually accurate.
