Uh so what was your reaction to the news that the president had decided to not sign this bill?

What are your colleagues on Capitol Hill saying about this?

And have you spoken to people on both sides of the aisle since this happened?

Yeah, it's it's uh something that's was sort of surprising to see in this political c climate as you're talking about, um where, you know, people have come together uh from both sides of the aisle and you know, found common ground.

W uh what was it about housing in particular that allowed the Congress to uh the Congress to uh find common ground when on so many other key issues it's just been so difficult?

difficult over the last several years.

You just listed some of the aspects of this bill, um, but I'm wondering if there's a certain part of the housing bill that would have the most direct impact on the people of your district.

Uh, is this the kind of legislation that you think could create transformative lasting change when it comes to housing in America, or do you think it's a little bit watered down?

I'm curious if you think there's a scenario in which the president gets what he wants here, or at least part of what he wants on the Save America Act.

Do you see that as a possibility or do you think he just doesn't have enough leverage right now to pull that off?

Um, so if if President Trump continues to refuse to sign the bill into law, what happens next?

Like what can members of Congress ultimately do in that situation if he decides to veto this, for example?

Like is you know, would it be actually realistic that the Congress would decide to override it?

Uh so moving on from that topic a little bit, you're running for a fifth term in Congress.

Uh if you're re elected, what are your hopes for your next term?
