So I've started to encourage every company,
To actually, and every individual, by the way, this is true.
I tell parents, you go back to your dining room table, tell your kids what you stand for early and often.
Commit to a mission, vision, values, and don't make chat GBT write it.
And you don't need to put it on LinkedIn.
It doesn't need to be for the world to see.
It needs to be for you and it needs to be for the people in your charge, whoever those are.
And you should say it even if, and actually, especially if it doesn't sound right, especially if it's unpopular.
Be committed to something at a time where it is so easy to say the right thing, where everyone else is trying to figure out what it is they're trying to do, because there is a really beautiful, much better world to be built if we are all committed to it.
And then what I say is be very adaptable to how you do it.
If your mission, if your delta is actually to connect the world, great.
Talk about that early and often, and then talk about all the ways that you are going to update the company in order to better connect the world.
Because right now, a lot of people are very committed to their ways and means.
They say, this is what I do.
And then I can't change that.
I go, really?
Because you just told me that your goal is to provide better care for patients.
And now you're telling me that you can't hire more doctors because it would interfere with your profit margin.
Well, which one is it?
