Explain that.
I think that we are building a religion around AI safety that will be publicly unassailable.
In the same way that you couldn't say, I don't think that DEI is good.
Or in the same way you couldn't say, I don't think ESG makes sense.
These became these unassailable religions that had...
political clout.
They had corporate clout.
It was this alliance of powerful entities that said, we're going to promote these ideas, even if they don't make sense because they sound good.
And by the way, so much of ESG makes sense.
So much of DEI makes sense.
But the body of the work became totally lost along the way, as many religions do tend to lose their way.
And I think one of the things we're seeing right now is it will be very dangerous to say things about AI that are not overwhelmingly negative.
And actually, I think AI safety in particular is going to become publicly unassailable
as a moral grandstand.
And I think one of the ways that we're starting to see kids, there's always a current thing and the Gen Z trades, their status is moral high ground, right?
So they want to show that they are the most moral grandstanding.
And by the way, Australia, I think, is uniquely problematic in this regard.
And the amount of moral grandstanding of my Australian friends and that I see out of Australia is pretty elite.
Mm-hmm.
And I think it's a luxury belief.
