With pitchers, I still think...
You know, it's highly risky.
I do think, you know, with Ranger Suarez in particular, I found that it surprised me, although I understand the pivot with losing out on the bat and it's like, okay, well now we have an opportunity to improve the team.
You know, this might be plan B, right?
Um, maybe it opens up a trade opportunity for a bat with, by creating extra depth, or maybe it's just, you know, we're gonna be a pitching and defense team and, and, um,
you know, go after with three, three top of the line guy or three really good starters.
And what's interesting about Suarez is he's a pitcher, right?
Like he knows he commands really well.
He's not blowing you away with stuff.
He's got solid stuff and a good, like four or five pitch mix.
So he knows how to pitch.
He knows how to mix.
He knows how to command.
You'd like to think that he's someone that will, um, be able to still be pretty good as he ages.
Even if stuff declines, like maybe, you know, you look at someone like, um,
who's the lefty there, Quintana.
Like,
can pitch on command with command and pitch ability you kind of hope that he's that guy he also attacks hitters and that's that's a good thing it's like he's going to go right after guys limits damage but keeping the ball you know it doesn't give up a lot of hard contact so it's a different shape of what most teams are looking for these days right which is just like stuff over command like he's more of a balance like a very good command guy with solid stuff but not not necessarily elite stuff
And he's another guy that has solid stuff, mixes really well, knows what he's doing, commands pretty well.
I mean, those top three guys are really interesting pitchers.
