My guilty pleasure used to be thrifting.
I loved going into a store and trying to find a piece of clothing that would define my entire identity for a whole week in high school and then I would throw it out and forget about it.
I don't buy stuff to throw it out now anymore.
But what I think thrifting taught me was that the way clothes fit.
matter more than the brand that you get.
Sometimes you would walk into a thrift store and see Ralph Lauren and Levi's and you'd think oh my goodness we're cooking tonight only to try on these Ralph Lauren's that were a size 34 waist and they were way too big or they were saggy.
I remember one time I think I stumbled across this North Face jacket that was worth like $300 and
It looked like I was literally swimming in the entire jacket.
And part of me still wanted to purchase it because I was like, well, it's a North Face jacket.
