So I actually just started canvassing a few weeks ago, and I was looking at the scripts because, I mean, this is what every politician does, right?

You get your scripts, you get your...

You get your marching orders and you go out there and you knock doors and you read through the script and I'm reading it and I'm thinking about it.

I'm like, this is the first time I'm meeting these people.

I'm not comfortable from the very first time I meet these people to say, hey, my name is Zosia Van Meter.

Here's a couple of things that I did that I'm telling you about right now.

Will you vote for me?

Absolutely not.

I'm presumptuous, right?

You need to be authentic.

And that's the thing.

That's the thing that I hear about so many politicians.

They're robotic.

You can tell they're reading.

It's all scripted.

I hate doing that.

So the past few weeks as I've been canvassing, I'd knock on somebody's door.

Nine times out of ten, no one's going to answer the door.

No one wants to answer the door.

That's why we have ring cameras.
