Father and daughter team from Toronto, Canada is working towards a goal of thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail together.  Dan is at the mid-point of his life and about to celebrate a half-century and Chantal is now old enough to enjoy a cold glass of cider in Canada.  By the time they embark, she will be able to enjoy a Northwestern craft IPA in the United States.  I say Northwestern since she doesn't enjoy beer... so maybe 3 months into the hike she will learn the "hike and reward" of a cold beer around a campfire with our new tramily.
