A Radical Podcast Ep 5: From Evictions to Anti-Fascism

15 May 2023

Description

In this episode of "A Radical Podcast," we explore anarchism's role in the anti-fascist movement, discuss the ongoing home evictions crisis, and spotlight the autonomous town of Barbacha in Algeria. Join host Jason Bayless as we delve into these critical topics and celebrate the resilience and determination of activists worldwide. Update: 8/12/2023: Dear listeners, In this episode, I used the term "Berber" to refer to a group of people indigenous to North Africa. I have since learned from one of our engaged and thoughtful listeners that this term can be seen as derogatory. The term originated from the Greeks and has been historically associated with a negative connotation. I want to take a moment to acknowledge my mistake and clarify that it came from a limitation in my knowledge rather than a lack of respect. I'm grateful for the listener who educated me on the proper terms: "Amazigh" for singular masculine, "Tamazight" for singular feminine, and "Imazighen" for the plural form. In future episodes, and the spirit of our values, I will use the proper terms when referring to the Amazigh people. With sincerity and solidarity, Jason Bayless #anarchism #antiFascism #homeEvictions #Barbacha #Algeria #SpanishCivilWar #RojavaRevolution #radicalPolitics #socialResistance 🔗 Listen to other episodes: https://www.radical-guide.com/category/a-radical-podcast/ 🎧 Subscribe on your favorite platform: ➡ Youtube ➡ Amazon Music/Podcasts ➡ Google Podcasts ➡ Spotify ➡ Stitcher ➡ Pandora ➡ Apple Podcast ➡ Castbox ➡iHeartRadio
