This week Katrina hosts Dr. William Levine on the show! The core driver of periodontal disease is inflammation not infection. The initial infection will generate an inflammatory response in the gums. If it persists, it will become dysregulated and no longer protect the gums but will actually cause gum and bone destruction. If we control the inflammation, the disease will not progress. Dr. William Levine, DDS is the founder of Izun pharmaceutical Corp and founder of the Jerusalem Perio Center.
