What is the premise of the episode and why are we discussing AI apocalypse?
My name is Shannon Maldonado. I am the founder of the Jaui gift shop that sells handmade artisanal products. I chose Shopify because when I tested the equipment, I found it to be one of the easiest to use equipment. It was important for me to consider our development in the future. All tools needed for sales, such as stock planning, are handy on the dashboard. Start your free trial at shopify.com.
Coming up on AI having to clue, we're covering the AI wars with Kyle Bulmer.
And they're heading towards potentially wiping us out.
They're not monsters, George. These are the good guys. These are the good guys. I wouldn't go that far. Sorry, sorry. Hold on. Let's rephrase that question a little bit, James.
People have been saying this for a long time. Yeah, you were right, George. That was boring. I told you. No, I think we're done. We're moribund. We're dead men walking if we continue with this.
Let's
at least be decisive about this and make the shift.
Hello and welcome to AI Haven't a Clue, the podcast where we explore the wild world of AI. I am AI novice George Butler.
Hello and me, James Chandler, Lord of Lululums, LLMs.
Lord of
Lululums?
Yeah, I
do. Lord of Lululumville? Thank you very much.
How did Kyle Bulmer build a 400,000‑strong AI audience and transition from marketing?
How's
it going? What's going on in LLMville? What is there to see?
I mean, it's kind of everything, isn't it? You've got two or three, maybe four sort of nice sort of village things that you can go to. There's
just robots are pouring the pints in puffs. Humanoid
robots on the pints, which is,
that's
quite easy,
isn't it? Deliveries are being done by those little weird Uber robots that Uber Eats now employ.
couple of drones in there and you're being whizzed around in the driverless car i sort of quite like it feels quite nice are there any humans in uh llm
no no no
humans
humans have all been
wiped out they've gone
okay so it's
very much a skynet situation we've gone
okay there's there's there's 20 000 people living on mars but you have to have a net worth over a billion dollars to be there so sadly we're gone but producer molly she's up there It's a fortune. What a way to start. Fantastic. Well, it's important to kick off the show in style today because we are joined by a brilliant guest, an expert in AI. Yeah, and
I'm a big fan boy here, Kyle Bulmer, who is, I think, probably one of the most prominent voices, particularly when you look on TikTok or Instagram, a guy that really sort of pivoted from being a marketing guy into talking about AI. He's got a huge, huge audience. Best pals with Will Francis, a
friend of the
show as well. And he does these most amazing lives where he just goes into what's happening in that moment.
Let's get Kyle on. He is an AI educator, entrepreneur, and content creator who has built an audience of more than 400,000 people by breaking down what AI actually means for businesses and, well, us everyday lot. He's trained Fortune 500 companies, worked with a $17 billion tech company, and built a $300,000 business through short-form content in just 12 months. Would you believe
it?
So today we're cutting through the hype what AI is genuinely capable of, which jobs could maybe disappear and what we all need to be doing to stay ahead as we welcome Kyle to AI Having a Clue. Kyle, thank you so much for joining us on AI Having a Clue. Lovely to have you on the podcast. Now, kind of to kick us off, you built this incredible audience, this brilliant following. Tell us how you've done it, how you've got into this space and kind of what you do really.
Accidentally, I'll put it that way. So
I
come from a business and entrepreneurship and marketing background rather than a technical background. My degree is actually in history, modern history. So I was running a digital marketing agency quite comfortably for a decade or so until GPT 3.5 came out. And I remember using it for the first time and thinking, well, this is a bit crap. But this could be a problem because we're doing adverts, we're doing sales pages, we're doing a lot of marketing assets that could be threatened by this. And then GPT-4 came out and I was like, okay, wrap it up.
