Dr. Carstensen has lectured internationally, co-authored a leading textbook on dental sleep medicine, and has been instrumental in advancing interdisciplinary collaboration among dentists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in the treatment of airway and sleep disorders.In 2023, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine in recognition of his exceptional leadership and contributions to the field.
