We avoid because we don’t want to feel what’s already here. And while both patterns can sometimes lead to “good” outcomes, neither one ultimately brings the fulfillment we’re longing for. We’ll also dive into how this plays out in relationships—how trying to control, manipulate, or look outside the partnership for certain feelings can keep us stuck if we don’t recognize what’s really going on inside of us.
